SOUTHBRIDGE — A constant flow of voters made their way up Chestnut Street Tuesday, June 26, threading their way between the lively groups of campaigners on either side.

After the flow finally ended at 8 p.m., Southbridge had two new Town Councilors — Shaun Moriarty and Amelia Peloquin — and two new School Committee members — Kara Donovan and Lauren McLoughlin. The third available council seat was retained by incumbent Denise Clemence.

The school race easily qualified as a landslide, as Donovan and McLoughlin both bested 10-year incumbent Jack Jovan by more than 700 votes. The council contest was closer, with Moriarty topping the field at 1,382, Peloquin 1,095 and Clemence 976.
