STURBRIDGE — Thanks to generous members of the community, three graduating Tantasqua Regional High School seniors will have some additional financial aid as they get ready for college this fall.

The Patrick Donnelly Foundation recently awarded its memorial scholarship to Patrice Metcalf in the amount of $5,000, while Village Green Family Campground owner Lester Twarowski presented two $500 scholarships to technical division students Benjamin Brigham and James Fontaine.

"Patrice is very deserving of the scholarship, and it was heartwarming to be able to present it to her," said Kathleen Johnson, who runs the Patrick Donnelly Foundation in memory of her son, who was murdered in Florida back in 2008.
