Man accused of attack using pickaxe, bleach

CHARLTON — A Charlton man allegedly attacked another man with a pickaxe and bleach during an altercation last week.

Jason A. Gannon, 30, of 29 Lake Road, was arrested Sunday, May 20, and charged with armed daytime breaking and entering for a felony, and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He pleaded not guilty to the charges at Dudley District Court, Monday, May 21. His bail was set at $1,000 cash and he was ordered to stay away from his alleged victim.

According to police documents, they responded to a disturbance on Southbridge Road just before 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 20. Gannon's mother made the 911 call, reporting that Scott Cortis had thrown rocks at her car and broken two of the windows.
