STURBRIDGE — After completing an array of challenging tasks, Tantasqua Regional High School senior Shannon McKeon was recently awarded a full scholarship to the Lincoln Culinary Institute's Hartford campus.

McKeon, a culinary student from West Brookfield, completed a scholarship exam, provided teacher recommendations, submitted her transcripts and a portfolio, and wrote an essay outlining her reasons for wanting to pursue a career in the culinary profession. After the LCI scholarship committee finished its evaluation process that includes numerical values awarded for specific criteria, McKeon was determined to have amassed the highest total point value the committee had seen in years.
