SOUTHBRIDGE — Often, watching the numbers fall is a bad sign, but not for Melony Collins and several other residents of Brookside Terrace.

They've been participating in a localized version of "The Biggest Loser," whose aim, in case you've never heard of the popular TV show, is to lose as much weight as possible.

"It's not easy being overweight. I was 311 [pounds] at my heaviest," Collins admitted. She's now 258, still heavy for her height she said, but getting there.
