STURBRIDGE — The Tantasqua Regional High School Team Chef Competition was an even bigger success than last year thanks to generous area chefs and sponsors.

Several local chefs each teamed up with two Tantasqua culinary students to make signature dishes and desserts. Chef Brian Treitman, of BT's Smokehouse, worked with Zack Robertson and Joe Wolvin to prepare barbeque citrus ribs and yuzu bread pudding; chef Derek Fairbrother, of the Oliver Wight Tavern, made roasted chicken thighs with feta stuffing with students Brittany Boudreau and Sara Coffill, while chef Mike Heenan, of the Publick House, helped students Kyle Libiszewski and Amanda Martin prepare orange chicken and creamsicle Baked Alaska.
