CHARLTON — Candidates running in this weekend's annual town election mingled with voters and presented their stance on issues facing the town at a Meet the Candidates night at Overlook Tuesday, April 24.

Of the 17 positions on town boards and commissions that will be up for grabs on the May 5 election, just three races are contested. The four candidates running for two three-year seats on the Board of Selectmen are John McGrath, David Singer, Rick Swensen, and Joseph Szafarowicz. The three candidates running for one three-year seat on the Water/Sewer Commission are Joseph Belanger, Alex MacKenzie and Joseph Spiewak.

A packed house listened as these candidates spoke about themselves, their qualifications, and their vision for Charlton, and took questions from Auburn Fire Chief Steve Coleman, who acted as moderator.
