SOUTHBRIDGE — Earlier this year, a state arbitrator lambasted high school Principal William Bishop's handling of the dismissal of a math teacher in 2010, requiring the district to reinstate Jonathan Jacobson and pay back wages.

"The majority of the Summative Evaluation Report comes directly and accurately from the classroom observations," arbitrator Mary Ellen Shea found after hearings last summer. "But the scattering of inaccurate, misleading and demonstrably false statements contaminates the entire report, creating an overall picture of Mr. Jacobson's performance that does not reflect his actual performance as it was observed, evaluated and documented."

Bishop wrote that report based in part on classroom observations by himself and others.
