SOUTHBRIDGE — School Superintendent Eric Ely has been in the running for three superintendent jobs in Tennessee recently, according to media reports from that state.

On Tuesday, April 3, he was eliminated from the final five candidates for the job running the Clarksville-Montgomery County School District, according to Chairman George Giles. Late last month, he didn't make the list of four finalists in Dickson County, and he'll find out whether a similar process went in his favor in Roane County later this month, according to reports on the Dickson Schools and Knoxville News Sentinel websites, respectively.

All of those districts call their superintendents "directors."
