STURBRIDGE — In a celebration of veterans and their families, the Sturbridge Veterans Honor Roll Committee joined town officials, local politicians, veterans and residents in front of Town Hall Monday morning, April 2, for the Honor Roll groundbreaking ceremony.

After describing the project to guests, Sturbridge Historical Society President Robert Briere, who is also a member of the Sturbridge Veterans Honor Roll Committee, thanked residents for assisting the fundraising campaign by purchasing bricks and pavers.

"Without your financial assistance, this wouldn't be happening," he said after expressing gratitude to the many people and companies who made donations of money, supplies and materials to support the project.
