April 02, 2012 SOUTHBRIDGE — Although algebra and geometry aren't everyone's idea of fun, they're winning subjects for a couple dozen Southbridge High students.
Literally.
"We've [previously] not done well, but not only did we win our division, we would have placed third in Division C," said teacher Laura Rotondo, coach of the six-year-old school math team. She was referring to the fact Southbridge's team recently walked away from four meets with a score of 106, topping Division D in the Worcester County Math League, a group of six schools including Leicester, Douglas and Assabet.
