Chili Chowdown coming to school on April 1

CHARLTON — If you ask Chef Mark Sansoucy, there's no heartier springtime meal than a piping hot bowl of chili.

"It's just one of those things everybody likes," said the Bay Path Regional Technical Vocational High School culinary instructor. For months Sansoucy, who is also the Bay Path baseball coach, has been busy planning the school's 2nd Annual Chili Chowdown, which will take place Sunday, April 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Bay Path Café.

While last year's Chowdown was just the school's first, Sansoucy said it was overwhelming success, drawing more than 400 hungry chili connoisseurs eager to sample local restaurants' and individuals' take on the hearty soup.
