Library efforts make yearbooks go digital

Decades of memories head to Boston for makeover

March 26, 2012
SOUTHBRIDGE — Thanks to the commitment of Jacob Edwards Library Director Margaret Morrissey and the help of residents, several yearbooks from two high schools have been sent to the Boston Public Library to be digitized.

Many of the Southbridge High School yearbooks belong to the Jacob Edwards Library collection, while others were donated by residents for the statewide digitization project, which is being funded by the Digital Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a Boston Public Library grant. The monthly meeting of the executive board of Digital Commonwealth took place on March 19 at the Jacob Edwards Library.
