STURBRIDGE — Residents won't have to wait much longer to catch a movie on the big screen right here in town.

The construction of the Cinemagic Stadium Theater is under way, with PM Construction Company, of Saco, Maine, starting work to get the theater ready for its projected opening on Independence Day weekend.

Located at the Center at Hobbs Brook on Route 20, in the former Linens and Things, the state-of-the-art complex will feature eight auditoriums with digital projection, Dolby Digital sound and Dolby Digital 3D capabilities. Moreover, the stadium seating auditoriums will boast wide high back rocking seats with retractable cup and tray holders.
