Dudley-Charlton votes to cut budget and staff

March 19, 2012
CHARLTON — The Dudley-Charlton Regional School Committee made a second round of budget cuts Wednesday, March 14, slashing more than $1.7 million from next year's budget, mostly coming from staff cuts, while increasing some student fees.

The fiscal 2013 budget reflects the maximum anticipated amounts in Chapter 70 funding, state aid and construction aid. In fiscal 2012, the district received more than $1.1 million from the Education Jobs Grant, which will not be available next year.
