CHARLTON — The American Legion Post 391 held their annual past commanders banquet Friday, March 9 at the Grange Hall, where local veterans were honored by a number of area politicians and their fellow servicemen.

The banquet was attended by members of the Charlton American Legion and their families, town officials, State Representatives Peter Durant and Paul Frost, State Sen. Stephen Brewer, and representatives from Congressman Richard Neal's office. Guests were treated to a buffet dinner before officials took turns speaking about the importance of recognizing and thanking veterans for their service.
