'Swirl and Curl,' renovation on tap at library

March 14, 2012
STURBRIDGE — Exciting books, fine wines and desserts, and good company — it's all happening at the fifth annual Swirl and Curl wine tasting event on Thursday, April 5.

Lasting from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Publick House, the event will feature wines, cheeses, desserts, and descriptions of many good novels. Joshua Hyde Public Library Director Becky Plimpton will talk about books with genres or plots that match each of the wine flavors that are featured.

"The Swirl and Curl event started off pretty small, but the attendance has increased over the years," Plimpton said. "We had 38 people come last year and we are hoping for somewhere between 40 and 45 this year to keep the intimate feel that makes this event so great."
