SOUTHBRIDGE — About St. Patrick's Day, residents living around the Petro Pool on Randolph Street will start seeing some long-delayed work starting on that site.

By Labor Day, it should be once again open for business — maybe even in time for a grand opening weekend this summer.

"This will have a little bit of everything for everybody, unlike the pools we were designing in 1972-73, when this one went in," said project manager Gary Briere of the state Department of Conservation and Recreation, which owns the pool.
