DUDLEY — With tears in his eyes at the State House last week, a local grandfather expressed the pride he had in his grandson for saving his life.

As Dudley Elementary School third grader Evan Healy, 8, sat in a chair in one of the many offices at the Massachusetts State House Thursday, Feb. 29, he calmly explained how he was able to help his grandfather and Dudley resident Michael Ayers, who he found injured on the floor of his home last month.

Healy received a citation from the State House and State Rep. Peter Durant, R-Spencer, and Rep. Kevin Kuros, R-Uxbridge, last week, which he said he and his family were happy to attend in Boston.
