BRIMFIELD — Our Operation Rebuilding series continues this week with an update from Town Moderator Mike Miller, of 66 Five Bridge Road, whose property sustained $100,000 worth of damage during the tornado on June 1, 2011.

Luckily, the structural integrity of Miller's house was not compromised, enabling him to live there after many repairs. His barn was not so fortunate, collapsing in a matter of seconds as the tornado roared through.

"It was a two-story barn, and it just disintegrated," said Miller, who served on the Tantasqua Regional School Committee for 23 years. "The cars were destroyed as well, but luckily my boat was spared."
