STURBRIDGE — Dick and Rick Hoyt's tradition of making generous contributions continued last week, as the famed father-son running duo made a $30,000 donation to Rehabilitative Resources, Inc., of Sturbridge (RRI).

The money will be used to convert the old dairy barn into an indoor activity center at the Elm Hill Center in Brookfield. This marks the Hoyts' third donation to RRI in as many years to benefit the Elm Hill Center, which offers inclusive programs for all people – including those with special needs – through hands-on activities using horticulture, horsemanship and the arts. The Hoyts donated $25,000 in both 2010 and 2011 to cover the costs of various restoration efforts at the Elm Hill Center.
