Fuel storage hearing continued

Sturbridge selectmen updated on honor roll project

February 23, 2012
STURBRIDGE — During a public hearing at its Feb. 21 meeting, the Board of Selectmen discussed an application to amend the fuel storage license issued to Omer Akisik for his Bee Zee Gas business located on 149 Charlton Road.

The application requests to modify fuel storage by eliminating the two aboveground storage tanks located to the right of the building in favor of two 20,000-gallon double-walled fiberglass underground storage tanks. These tanks would be located beneath the pavement near the fuel islands.
