BRIMFIELD — Members of a recently formed group called Preserve Brimfield are striving to research all of the effects a casino would have on their town in order to help residents make informed decisions.

The group has not taken a position favoring or opposing the MGM Resorts International casino proposal. It includes members who are leaning a certain way, but also many people who are undecided and would like to gain more information before making a decision.

"I get the sense that most people in town want more information about the effects a casino would have, and I think our group reflects that belief," said Paul Adams, a member of Preserve Brimfield who has already conducted extensive research to become more knowledgeable about the different ways a casino would impact Brimfield.
