Administrators at area high schools are urging their students to be cautious of what they post online, after news broke last week that images of 17 female students from Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School, and a few from Tantasqua Regional High School in Sturbridge, were splashed across an adult website that also included child pornography.

Pictures of the students, who were fully clothed in the images, were lifted from their Facebook pages, unbeknownst to them, and posted along with their names and the school they attended. The Charlton Police Department and FBI were contacted, state and federal investigations were launched, and shut down the Massachusetts part of the overseas-based website last Thursday.
