SOUTHBRIDGE — The sound of doorbells ringing and kids laughing could be heard through the halls of West Street School, Wednesday, Feb. 8, when elementary and high school students worked together on a electrical project.

Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School electrical instructor Bryant Lanctot and a group of his senior students took a trip to West Street School last week to give elementary kids there a hands-on lesson, teaching them to wire doorbells.

For the fourth grade students it was a fun conclusion to a unit on electricity. Lanctot gave them a brief overview of currents and circuits, and detailed his decades of work as an electrician. He then turned the teaching over to his students.
