CHARLTON — Although he can set up a website, program a video game, or fix a lap top, you can't call Chris Hickman a computer geek.

Instead, the newest programming and web development instructor at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School insists he's more of the "outdoorsy type," preferring kayaking and hiking to sitting in a front a screen all day.

But he certainly appreciates the field of computer science, and said he's excited to see it thriving at Bay Path — an overwhelming number of freshman students picked the computer programming and web development shop as their first choice in fields of study at the school this year.
