SOUTHBRIDGE — About six months after the Airport Commission voted to pursue the concept, the town is seeking developers for a solar project at the airport.

Town Manager Christopher Clark announced the plan at last Monday's Town Council meeting, noting he hopes to "go forward with it by mid-April" if the town gets some good proposals. He estimated the property, a swath of land on the east side of the airport's runway beside Barefoot Road, would be able to hold about 2 megawatts of solar panels.
