CHARLTON — Representatives from the Mass. Department of Energy Resources (DOER) were on hand at last week's Board of Selectmen meeting to detail town officials on the "Rebuild Western Mass." program, which is open to the town, its residents and businesses.

The program, which is available through a partnership between DOER and the Mass. Clean Energy Center, provides incentives, grants, and subsidized construction loans for energy improvements to communities affected by last June's tornado.

"Anyone whose building, whether its private residence, commercial, industrial, municipal, any building that was impacted by the tornado we have money," explained DOER Western Mass. Regional Coordinator Jim Barry.
