After serving nearly two years as a state committeeman, Michael Valanzola is hoping to be reelected to a new four-year term in March.

Valanzola, a member of the Tantasqua Regional School Committee and a Wales selectman, held a campaign kickoff event on Saturday night, Dec. 3, in Wales.

Several politicians attended the event to support him, including State Rep. Todd Smola (R-Palmer), Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis, State Rep. Ryan Fattman (R-Sutton), former State Rep. Reed Hillman, and Governor's Councilor Jen Caissie.

"It was an honor to have those individuals speak on my behalf," Valanzola said. "It means a lot to have their support, and I am looking forward to the elections on March 6."
