STURBRIDGE — For the fifth consecutive year, Brian Hrybyk will run the Boston Marathon as a member of the Miles for Miracles Team.

He is running for a cause, and he hopes members of area communities will generously support him as they have done in years past.

"This is something I could not be more honored to be a part of," Hrybyk said. "I have cherished each and every one of the last five years running for this organization and doing fundraising on their behalf. I have learned so much from the experience and really look forward to it each year."

Hrybyk has been paired with eight-year-old David St. Denis, of Sturbridge, throughout his tenure with the team. St. Denis suffers from DiGeorge Syndrome, a chromosomal disorder that caused him to undergo several open heart surgeries. His most recent surgery in August of 2009 was very successful, and Hrybyk had an opportunity to visit St. Denis in the hospital shortly after the procedure.
