STURBRIDGE — Several Tantasqua Regional High School students fared well during the SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference, held from Nov. 20-22 in Marlborough.

Sydney Barnes, Amanda Carofano, Emily Russo, Joshua Hall, Jess Shannon, and Desiree Hagen all completed three days of leadership training that included classroom instruction and an opportunity to compete in different work related areas.

Hall, a senior from the school's electrical program, earned a gold medal in community service, while Russo grabbed the gold in the area of membership recruitment.

"I am participating in SkillsUSA for the first time this year, and it has been a great experience for me," Hall said. "I got to meet a lot of new people at the conference, and I wish I had done this last year as well. My community service project was a lot of fun."
