HOLLAND — Small town elementary school students will soon have an opportunity to experience what it is like to walk down a big city modeling runway.

On Saturday, Dec. 10, a chicken dinner and a professionally staged runway show will take place at Holland Elementary School, with dinner beginning at 6 p.m. and the show scheduled for 7 p.m. This is the sixth consecutive year the show has taken place at Holland Elementary School, and it is once again being organized by the school's principal's secretary, Charlotte Lundgren, and her daughter Erica Scimeca.

Scimeca, who is originally from Holland, has been the director of scouting for New York Model Management for 17 years. She enjoys taking the time to travel back to her hometown and organizing a special event for students.

"It is always fun to show the kids that you can be from a small town and make it in a big city," Scimeca said. "I was so scared when I first moved to New York City, never thinking I would fit in. I want these children to realize that you can be a small fish in a big sea and make your dreams come true."
