STURBRIDGE — Julie Gerrish has enjoyed success since opening her studio inside the Sturbridge Marketplace, and she is looking forward to hosting an informational program on Saturday, Nov. 12.

Beginning at 12 p.m., Sandra Koulourides, the founder of Fuel and Fitness Horizontal Conditioning, will deliver a presentation about nutrition, healthy exercise habits, and how daily food choices play an integral role in a person's health and ability to remain physically fit. The cost of the event is $10 per person, and it will conclude at about 2 p.m.

"Sandra has written a book about nutrition and fitness, and she is very knowledgeable about how to eat properly as you age and what people can do to counteract the effects of aging," Gerrish said. "Obviously there are some changes that take place as you get older that you can't do anything about, but healthy eating goes a long way toward staying fit."

After seeing Koulourides speak at a seminar in Boston last year, Gerrish asked if she would be interested in leading a presentation in Sturbridge this year.
