STURBRIDGE — The Tantasqua Education Foundation (TED) will hold its fifth annual Diamonds and Champagne Brunch at Old Sturbridge Village to raise funds for the foundation.

Lasting from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, the event will include a full brunch, complimentary champagne, and automatic entry for a chance to win a diamond from Cormier Jewelers, of Southbridge. The cost is $50 per person, and tickets can be purchased by visiting www.tedfound.org.

Each year, TED encourages teachers from schools within the Tantasqua Regional School District to apply for grants that will allow them to expand their curriculums and improve students' educations. The brunch will feature this year's grant winners, who will describe how they are planning to use the money they will receive.

"A few years ago, a grant enabled the purchase of costumes that really enhanced a Shakespeare class," said TED President Christine Tieri. "Last year, we were able to get streaming video of students participating in sporting events and the graduation ceremonies, which was great for both students and the community."
