SOUTHBRIDGE — The town's cable channel is facing some changes that might actually enable it to cover more things, but could also involve the ouster of longtime director Paul Zotos.

As of Tuesday afternoon, that still wasn't certain, with Town Manager Christopher Clark saying only that "a final decision will be made shortly."

"Employee matters are things I do not wish to comment on," he added. "Personnel issues should remain personal."

But Clark noted the Zotos situation is tied into an overall revamping of the cable station, which has been several months in the making. When the town most recently renegotiated its contract with Charter Communications, the company agreed to increase its annual payment from $88,500 to 2.5 percent of gross revenue ($109,000 this year), and Clark saw that as a good time "to update the cable operation in the community," he said.
