STURBRIDGE — Residents are never without options when deciding where to eat their next meal.

Now they can begin preparing their appetites for another restaurant in town, as Greg Hudzik recently opened Village Hotdog at 376 Main St.

Located in the Yankee Spirits plaza, Village Hotdog is a take-out restaurant that specializes in several different kinds of hotdogs, including the All-American hotdog, the New Yorker, a Chicago dog, and the signature Village dog, which features Coney sauce, a popular ingredient in Hudzik's home state of Michigan.

"I love the New England feel that Sturbridge has," said Hudzik, who just moved to Sturbridge. "It is a centrally located to town with great access to highways, and I'm hoping to have a lot of success here."

The ultimate goal for Hudzik and his business partner, Tracey Price, is to open up additional Village Hotdog establishments throughout the area. He is hoping the popularity of Coney sauce will catch on in central Massachusetts, and that the Village dog will become an instant hit.
