STURBRIDGE — With graduation fast approaching, Tantasqua Regional High School seniors have taken some time to reflect on their four high school years and turn an eye to the future.

In the next two weeks, we will highlight the careers of several students who were chosen as Seniors of the Month throughout the 2010-11 academic year.

Michelle Bourget, of Brimfield, and Jocelyn Hoye, of Sturbridge, both challenged themselves in the classroom, taking many difficult classes that have prepared them well for college.

Bourget (October Senior of the Month) took calculus and multiple English and language classes, listing her favorite class as TV studio. She also enjoyed her mental wellness and stress management class, which exposed her to such forms of relaxation as yoga and meditation.

Hoye (November Senior of the Month) also took calculus and language classes, as well as psychology and chemistry classes that she described as challenging and rewarding. Moreover, she was chosen in January as one of the recipients for the 2011 Superintendent's Scholar Award after amassing a remarkable 4.89 GPA midway through her senior year.
