BRIMFIELD — Are you searching for a unique spiritual experience to share with your family on Good Friday?

Look no further than the First Congregational Church of Brimfield, where guests will enjoy a tour that allows for several glimpses into the life of Jesus Christ.

Upon entering the church this Friday, guests will pick up a trail guide with instructions that will lead them on a self-guided tour through various stops called thresholds. These venues are meant to assist guests in the shifting into a more contemplative and spiritual state of mind. The thresholds are each meant to appeal to the senses, and at every one there will be a basket containing a paper and pen that will enable guests to write down their thoughts regarding that threshold.

"By using all of your senses, you will be able to experience a hands-on way of understanding the scriptures and snippets and how they pertain to us today," said Gina Lynch, who helped organize the event with her husband, Reverend Ian Lynch. "This year's theme is 'Finding Jesus in the Empty Spaces,' which we hope will help people who feel lonely to find comfort when they are alone."
