SOUTHBRIDGE — The Tri-Community YMCA is doing its part to get kids up and moving.

The popular health center is offering a Healthy Kids Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 at the facility at 43 Everett St.

At the free event, children can take part in swimming, rock climbing, a moon bounce and receive MYCHIP Child Protection Agency information. Children under six will be required to have a parent present in order to go swimming.

"At the Tri-Community YMCA, we know that parents struggle to find the time to incorporate more active play and healthier habits into their kids' daily routine," said Melissa Majewski, YMCA Youth and Family Coordinator. "Doing so doesn't have to require extra money or resources. It's as simple as making a play date with your kids, with two key requirements — be active and have fun."
