SOUTHBRIDGE — Polished LLC wants Southbridge to keep those teeth glowing.

Co-owner Valerie Osborn, along with assistant Maryann Wanelik, was on hand at the South Central WIC (Women's Infants and Children) Program to offer dental care aimed at the less fortunate Tuesday morning and afternoon, March 22.

"Our goal is to provide preventative care to one and all," said Osborn, of Charlton. "We try not to throw the word 'free' to anything, but we won't turn anyone away. We want to also help facilitate them to some sort of insurance program, possibly Mass Health. We do want to treat one and all, so anyone interested in us visiting them, whether they have a senior center or have a home school group or a Boys and Girls club, we are available to come to anyone regardless of the circumstances."

In August 2010, Massachusetts passed a law allowing public health dental hygienists to practice in a traveling setting. Osborn, along with three other hygienists, took classes to further certify themselves and opened Polished LLC.
