SOUTHBRIDGE — It can be hard to keep track of all of the ways Deb Bell is involved in this year's Relay For Life.

The event, which raises money for cancer research, is a year round process and takes place this year on Friday, June 17 and 18 at McMahon Field at Southbridge High School.

Most participants join a team, receive donations and take turns with their teammates walking around the track in different events. The events differ from Relay to Relay, but most have laps that pay homage to those who have died from cancer, those living with cancer and a lap to pledge to never stop the fight to end the disease.

Bell is by all means a veteran of the Relay, as she has taken part in 13 of the 14 years the event has been held in Southbridge. She walked her first year and became a team captain and joined the planning board her second year.
