STURBRIDGE — Alphonso Esposito has a lot of creative ideas he believes can help move the town forward, and he is now looking for the support of residents necessary to put him in a position to shift these ideas from visions to realities.

He seeks to be elected in April to the one-year seat on the Board of Selectmen that opened as a result of Edward "Ted" Goodwin's resignation in early February.

Esposito, who grew up in Oxford, lived in such cities as San Francisco, San Diego, Washington, D.C., Denver, and Baltimore before moving back to New England with his wife and two children.

"We decided to move back to New England because we missed the small town lifestyle and wanted that for raising our children," he said. "We chose Sturbridge because of the vibrant community and large number of families."
