SOUTHBRIDGE — Although he may not be Indiana Jones, you will be able to see this archeologist on your TV screen — and he was born right in our back yard.

Southbridge native Brennan Gauthier will be seen on the Discovery Channel show, "American Treasures," at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15.

The show, which was largely shot in Southbridge, will focus on determining the legitimacy of artifacts once found by Gauthier.

"When I was 12, I found a stone bowl in the woods and that got me hooked on archeology at a young age," said Gauthier, who attended Trinity Catholic Academy. "A few years later, I saw an article in the paper about a bunch of stone faces that were found in Southbridge. They were about the size of a football and had faces carved in them and were found in the woods. They were found between 1970 up to about 2000, about nine of them."

While at the University of Vermont, Gauthier received a grant to further study what he found. With the grant, he was able to study comparable artifacts and further test how old the bowls are.
