THOMPSON, Conn. — Thompson, Conn. resident and two-and-a-half year breast cancer survivor Kathy Finn is looking for local support at a fundraiser Sunday, March 13, to raise money for the Susan G. Komen For the Cure Foundation, which supports breast cancer research and awareness.

Finn will be walking with three other teammates in the Three Day for the Cure walk in July in Boston. The money raised at the fundraiser will go towards their team, Team WAM.

"It's a lot of work and it's a lot of fun," said Finn, who is an ER doctor at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge.

The fundraiser on March 13 will be at Bistro Eighty Ates in Webster, Mass. The owner has agreed to donate 20 percent of all food and drink sales of the day to the cause. There will also be various raffles throughout the day.

Finn said she also arranged for three New England Patriots alumni to come by the restaurant and sign autographs and take photos for donations.
