SOUTHBRIDGE — Southbridge Savings Bank Financial Advisor Jason D. Main has been named Top Financial Advisor and named to the Patriot Club for the 10th straight year by LPL Financial.

Less than 10 percent of financial advisors in the country are able to even qualify for the honor. Main said last week he considers it less of an award and more of a level of achievement. Once reaching this level, advisors are able to "reach a higher level of service that greatly benefits their clients," as Main puts it.

"I started this department of the bank [Investment Services] from the ground up in March 2000," said Main, who has spent more than 20 years in the banking industry. "I met our now retired Vice President at a function and she let me know that the bank wanted to add these services to become more of a full-service institution. They allowed me to develop the business, because the banking investments can be can turned into many different kinds of businesses."

After being named to the top of the advisor list, they are invited to a three-day conference. This year, the conference is being held in Boca Raton, Fla. In years past, it has been held in Hawaii, Cancun, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
