January 06, 2011
DUDLEY — The 18 young people accused of various crimes stemming from a chaotic New Year's Eve party in Sturbridge were arraigned Wednesday, Jan. 5 in Dudley District Court.
After informing the court about whether they would hire an attorney or represent themselves, all of the partygoers were released on personal recognizance.
Barring any additional violations, they will next appear in court on Tuesday, March 1.
Sisters Victoria Graf, 20, and Sabrina Graf, 18, who reside at the house on 57 Allen Road in Sturbridge where the party was held, were charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, underage possession of alcohol, and keeping a noisy and disorderly house.
According to police, their parents, Thomas and Laurie Graf, were vacationing in Canada when the incident occurred. Police have responded to incidents at the house in the past, including an underage drinking party two years ago. The charge of keeping a noisy and disorderly house is punishable by a prison sentence of not more than six months, according to Mass General Laws chapter 272.
