***BREAKING NEWS*** Kalinowski quits Southbridge DPW

SOUTHBRIDGE — The Southbridge Evening News learned yesterday that Department of Public Works Director Kenneth Kalinowski, hired in March 2008 amidst some concern over his residency outside town, is resigning.

Town Council Chairman Steve Lazo told a reporter he was informed of the news by Town Manager Christopher Clark Friday morning.

Kalinowski lives in Lunenburg. According to Lazo, he is taking a job closer to home. Kalinowski will stay on through August, Lazo said.
