WALES — You may not know her face, but if you live in Wales, you've certainly seen her work.

For Lynne Serrenho, being entrenched in her town is a way of life, and it is that involvement that she says would make her a good member of the Board of Selectmen.

Serrenho is running for the open seat on the board in the Tuesday, May 25 election against incumbent Selectman Michael Valanzola.

"I am a townsperson," Serrenho said. "I'm not trying to make a political career.

"I'm involved in a lot of local community projects right now, like with the Wales public access, I volunteer a lot of my time."

Serrenho is a senior producer for a number of community access shows including "Wales Live on Five," "Your Finances," "Authors' Muse," "Reptile Education," and "Kids' Kitchen."

A mother of four and guardian of her granddaughter, Serrenho is active in Grandparents in the Know, a networking organization for grandparents raising their grandchildren.

Additionally, Serrenho is one member of a team of volunteers that puts on the annual Wales Olde Home Days.
