Ray and Nancy Fournier may live in a retirement community, but they are by no means retired.

Ray is a senior manufacturing engineer at Whitcraft LLC, and Nancy is a production scheduler for Dexter Russell.

You may not know Ray or Nancy, but you have ever taken advantage of, attended, or participated in any community based events in the Southbridge area, you have undoubtedly reaped the benefits of their labor.

The Fourniers are being recognized for all of their civic works, which include oversight of the Southbridge Food Share and seats on the Relay For Life Committee, by the Tri-Community Exchange Club at a dinner event Monday, May 17 at the Oliver Wight Tavern in Sturbridge.

Ray and Nancy will receive the Exchange Club's Book of Golden Deeds award — the longest running program of the Exchange Club.

The Book of Golden Deeds award was established in 1946, and has since been given out each year to a person or persons who epitomize the ideal of service to their community.
