Residents' views sought on search

New superintendent in Southbridge

March 15, 2010
SOUTHBRIDGE — As the superintendent search gets rolling, residents are being asked for their input on what they want in a new school chief via an online and printed survey and an upcoming focus group.

"[They] will only be out a short time because I need the information back by the 19th [of March] — we can fudge it a little — but I have to have it before the 26th," said Pat Correira, the School Committee's search consultant from the Massachusetts Association of School Committees.

People can fill out the survey by linking to it from the town Web site (www.ci.southbridge.ma.us) or going directly to www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB22ACJWGB4F.

Likewise, they can attend the community focus group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 23 in Town Hall. That will be the fourth of five such groups, the others geared to school administrators and teachers on March 23 and town officials on March 29.

See Monday's Southbridge Evening News for complete coverage of community news.
